How to bring your rent down
A few choices make a bigger difference to the monthly bill than the PG itself.
- Choose double or triple sharing instead of a single room.
- Look one or two areas further from the busiest hubs, where rents are often lower.
- Check whether meals and electricity are included — a slightly higher all-inclusive rent can cost less overall.
- Ask about discounts for paying several months together, and compare the deposit as well as the rent.
